Next week we will have the oral and listening exams. Today I handed out the assignment and the rubric for the oral test, which is included below:
Spring Oral Exam #1 – book Review
This time I’m going to ask you to do a book review. I highly recommend that you record the
presentation. If you want to present live to the class, you can. Make sure I can hear and understand you. The presentation should last from 3 to 5
minutes and cover the following:
·
What’s the name of the book? Who is the
author? Who is the illustrator (if there
is an illustrator)?
·
What country is the author from?
·
Who are the main characters in the story?
·
What is the plot? Please use time order words to
tell me what happens first, next, then, last.
·
Did you like the story? If so, why?
If not, why not?
·
What happens in your favorite part?
·
Is there any part you didn’t like? What happens in the part you don’t like?
·
Should I read it? Would it be good for adults to read? Little kids?
Big kids? Why?
·
How many stars do you give the book out of ten?
I hope that every review will answer each of these
questions, and more if you have more to say. The grading rubric for the test
will be as follows:
