Spring Oral Exam #3 – favorite
song/band/singer
For a third oral exam, I want you to tell me about a song
that you love (or hate). I
highly recommend that you record the presentation. If you want to present
live to the class, you can but make sure I can hear and understand you. The presentation should last from 2 to 5
minutes and cover the following:
·
What is the name of the song? What is the name of the band or singer?
·
What country is it from? What language is it in
(if there are words)?
·
When did they make the song? Can you find out where they recorded it?
·
What are the feelings in the song? Is it sad, happy, angry, or other?
·
What instruments do they use to play the song?
·
Why do you like it? Does it make you feel something? What is your favorite part?
·
Is there a part that you don’t like?
·
When do you like to listen to it? Before bed? In the car?
·
Is it good for dancing? Do you like to sing along?
·
Why did the performer write it?
·
Can you find out anything more about the song?
·
Do you know any other songs that sound similar?
Some of these questions might be hard to answer, but I would
like to see you try to answer as many as you can. I hope that every review will
answer each of these questions, and more if you have more to say. The grading
rubric for the test will be as follows:
